The Gita addresses various aspects of life, duty, morality, and spirituality.

Here are 11 key teachings or verses from the Bhagavad Gita:

  1. Dharma and Duty (Chapter 2, Verse 47): "You have a right to perform your

prescribed duties, but you are not entitled to the fruits of your actions."

fruits of activities, one should act as a matter of duty, for by working without

    attachment one attains the Supreme."

  3. Self-Realization (Chapter 4, Verse 7): "Whenever there is a decline in

righteousness and an increase in unrighteousness, O Arjuna, at that time I manifest

    myself on earth."

serve me with love, I give the understanding by which they can come to me."

  5. Equality (Chapter 5, Verse 18): "The humble sages, by virtue of true knowledge, see

with equal vision a learned and gentle brahmana, a cow, an elephant, a dog, and a dog-eater [outcaste]."

  6. Yoga and Meditation (Chapter 6, Verse 5): "A person is said to be established in

self-realization and is called a yogi [one who meditates] when he is fully satisfied by

  7. Resilience (Chapter 2, Verse 14): "O son of Kunti, the nonpermanent appearance of

of Bharata, and one must learn to tolerate them without being disturbed."

  8. Sacrifice (Chapter 4, Verse 33): "The true renunciation is renunciation of ego and desires.

Offer all your actions to me and rest in the Self."

  9. Renunciation (Chapter 6, Verse 1): "One who is unattached to the fruits of his work and

who works as he is obligated is in the renounced order of life, and he is the true mystic, not he

who lights no fire and performs no work."

  10. Moral Values (Chapter 16, Verse 3-4): "Pride, arrogance, conceit, anger, harshness, and

ignorance—these qualities belong to those of demoniac nature."

  11. The Supreme Reality (Chapter 10, Verse 20): "I am the Self, O Gudakesha, seated in

the hearts of all creatures. I am the beginning, the middle, and the end of all beings."
